Taiyo Flour Milling’s mission is to delight our customers with our unique milling technology. To fully unlock the potential of wheat, we actively incorporate baking techniques and ingredients from Germany, also known as the "Heaven in bread.”
Germany has made over 3,200 types of bread, showcasing its rich and diverse bread culture. The country is ambitiously leading the way in bread culture by continuously pursuing new technology. In 2014, UNESCO classified German bread culture as an intangible cultural heritage because it’s known the world over for its uniqueness and diversity.

Our history of partnerships with German companies.
- 1988
- Formed a partnership with FrigorTec GmbH.
- 1996
- Introduced stone milling lines operating with Vollmer GmbH equipment.
- 2001
- Entered into a distributor agreement with Thermonox GmbH and launched the ThermoNox business,
which offers thermal pest control solutions. - 2005
- Introduced rye flour milling lines.
- 2006
- Erwin Betz, a graduate and certified 'meister' from the German National Bakers Academy, joined forces with Masaki,
who underwent training in Germany and Switzerland, to open a bakery called Die Sonnenblume (Moved to Imajuku in 2017) - 2019
- Started selling flour made with ingredients sourced from Germany
